About the Job
We are pleased to announce the opening for a Multi-Domain C3 SME who will join our team in Alexandria, VA and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. Heres what youll be doing:
As a Multi-Domain C3 SME, you will provide technical expertise for warfighting capability development, integration, and transition of new technologies that close time-critical gaps in high-priority, multi-component warfighting missions.
Daily work supports the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Mission Capabilities (OASD(MC)) within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)).
Work locations are in the DC metropolitan area with opportunities for situational telework.
Other specific tasks include:
- Provide subject-matter expertise to rapidly explore and prototype multi-domain command, control, and communications (C3) capabilities to synchronize data sharing and decision making for joint warfighting.
- Deliver technical assessments and analysis to provide recommended innovative approaches, technologies, and capabilities to close critical joint warfighting capability gaps.
- Provide technical expertise to inform mission engineering studies, prototype development, experimentation, and global integrated wargaming.
- Provide technical analysis and advice to help inform capability requirements development and validation through the JCIDS process.
- Collaborate with Service, Joint Staff, and OSD stakeholders to support the transition of technologies from prototypes and joint experimentation activities to Service programs of record.
- Prepare and deliver reports and briefings for senior DoD leadership and Congress.
Heres what youll need:
You must have a Master of Science degree in engineering or a related technical field or a certificate from intermediate Professional Military Education. Also, were looking for someone with at least 15+ years of technical experience. You must also have technical expertise in command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting (C5ISRT) in one or more of the following areas: space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) or airborne ISR; Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3); Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC); Artificial Intelligence (AI); or Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT). Experience with complex systems analysis efforts for the DoD and/or IC., experience related to connecting sensors across Services to weapons platform and shooters, and experience with threat kill chains and kill webs to analyze mission threads, develop system models, and conduct engineering trade studies.
Finally, you must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) eligibility. Lacking any one of these disqualifies you from this job.
Desired Qualifications:
- Self-starter, able to take initiative and operate independently.
- Ability to develop high-quality, professional briefings and written reports to succinctly capture technical concepts for senior DoD leadership and Congress.
- Familiarity with current Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) and Joint Fires Network (JFN) efforts within the DoD.
