Multi-Craft Maintenance - SURESTAFF

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Tech for a large, established client located in Belvidere, IL. The Multi-Craft Maintenance Tech will ensure that equipment and machinery are working at optimal efficiency to produce and manufacture products safely and on time.   This position will service milling and molding machines and all auxiliary equipment. Maintenance tech will be responsible for standard operating/production procedures, safety and continuous improvement initiatives with in the maintenance department. Multi-Craft Maintenance Tech will provide support to all areas of operations and will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance efforts as well as building maintenance ad keeping staff comfortable and safe. This position is a cross-functional role and will work closely across the organization to help ensure efficient operation. smooth workflow, and exceptional quality output. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members!  All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($30/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).  Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.   Available shifts include (1st shift) 5am-3:30pm  
Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.  Responsibilities of the Multi-Craft Maintenance Tech:   

• Monitor, inspect and service company equipment and machinery, including mechanical and electrical components. 
• Controls downtime by effectively troubleshooting and diagnosing problems quickly and accurately to maximize equipment availability. Trouble shooting includes large hydraulic pumps and valves, motors, air compressors, and hydraulic machines controls. 
• Perform preventive maintenance duties including the upkeep and organization of maintenance records.
• Perform building and facility repair and basic building maintenance.
• Completes changeovers on production lines by following changeover check sheet and recommends modification to the sheet.
• Performs routine daily setup and adjustments of all production equipment
• maintaining equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking inventory levels, anticipating needs.
• Proactive by keeping a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Support, comply and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safe procedures, safety protocols, and all company policies, procedures and safety requirements including LOTO procedures.
• Inform supervisors and shift leaders of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherit dangers involved.
• Assist other personnel with technical troubleshooting.
• Provide training to technical associates with in the facility when necessary.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics, electrical schematics, and trouble shoot equipment performance.

 Preferred Qualifications of the Multi-Craft Maintenance Tech:   

• High school graduate or general education degree wit two year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or 4 year equivalent work related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Possess a strong maintenance ability and aptitude to apply mechanical and electrical principles in various troubleshooting and repair activities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. 
• Must demonstrate autonomy-ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to pay attention to minute details of a task
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings for use in equipment troubleshooting and repairs. 
• Demonstrated understanding of welding, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability and knowledge to safely operate forklifts, power tools, hand tools, and any other equipment required.
