Summary/Objective:
The Multi-Client Bookkeeper provides high net worth individuals and families with a variety of accounting and administrative services. The Multi-Client Bookkeeper will have an integral role in the firm’s family office services. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player who can juggle multiple responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
Manage all activities of the general ledgers, including cash, bank reconciliations, revenues and expenses and the monthly close process.
Record and reconcile investment activity from brokerage and custody accounts.
Verify daily bank and brokerage account cash activities, prepare wire transfers to fund accounts as needed for expenses, donations, and investment activities.
Initiate accounts payable and receivable for various entities, including auditing check requests for accuracy.
Assist in managing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the family’s multiple homes, autos, and personal needs.
Assist with all daily administrative tasks necessary to maintain a well-functioning Family Office.
Manage and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensure financial information has been recorded accurately.
Process payroll for household employees.
Review annual budgets.
Prepare and/or review annual audit workpapers.
Support the outside legal and accounting professionals of the respective family.
Collecting and organizing documents within iPaladin for each family (i.e., wills, trust documents, tax statements, and insurance policies).
Assist with various ad hoc projects.

This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office setting. This position uses common office apparatuses such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This job requires the employee to regularly talk and hear. Additionally, the employee is often required to stand; walk; use wrists, hands, and fingers to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position where the employee is expected to be in the office Monday through Friday from 8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m.
Travel
Travel is not expected for this role.
Community and Volunteer Activities
The GYL team routinely supports a number of charitable organizations and activities. It is strongly encouraged that the Multi-Client Bookkeeper is willing to occasionally, as their schedule permits, participate in activities with other team members.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Excellent working knowledge of Sage Intacct or QuickBooks.
Computer literate and proficient with Windows, Word, and Excel.
Ability to handle confidential matters and exercise good judgment and discretion with sensitive issues.
Prior experience in keeping track of expenses, managing bank accounts and monitoring budgets
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to problem-solve and think both logically and creatively.
Demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
Ability to work alone or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Required Education and Experience:
Education: Required – Bachelor’s degree; Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
Work Experience: Required – family office, public accounting, corporate or private accounting/bookkeeping role.
Years of Experience: Required – 5+ years.
Licenses – CPA preferred.
