Sigma Healthcare staffing is currently looking for an experienced MRI Tech to work onsite for our contracted facility.
Shift: Rotating
- Performs all MRI examinations according to Vail Health protocols.
- Performs all radiographic examinations according to Vail Health protocols.
- Review each examination for technical accuracy, send completed examinations to radiologist, and communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
- Identifies each patient and reviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis. Reviews consistency of all demographic information including physician’s name and signature, patient’s name, and date.
- Maintain constructive collaborative communication with patients, patient's family, physicians, co-workers and other members of health care team to contribute to continuity of care.
- Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infection control standards, and universal precautions.
- Maintains working knowledge and use of the Vail Health HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation.
- Monitor supply inventory and notify appropriate staff for ordering when stock is low. Keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat.
- Role models the principals of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
- Minimum 1 year previous MRI Tech experience preferred. Previous experience in healthcare required.

- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) specialty required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association Reqiured.
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for jobspecific
- competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
- Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

- It is common to encounter potential hazards in the healthcare environment.
- Some of these hazards could include, but are not limited to: Radiation, toxic chemicals, biological hazards, heat, noise, dust and stress.

- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination. Requires
- standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and/or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.

- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the functions of this position. Communicates effectively, clearly and timely.
- The incumbent must be able to come to work promptly and routinely in order to begin the job functions at the start of the scheduled shift to impact the patients' healthcare experience. Ability to care for oneself; perform manual tasks; see, speak, breath, learn, read, concentrate, think, communicate, and work are essential to perform this role in the organization. Ability to work under stress and to deadline while working (independently or) with others. This position does provide patient care.
