Dartmouth Hitchcock (DH) MRI Technologists work in an environment that challenges them with a fast pace and wide variety of advanced imaging exams including Breast Imaging, Cardiac Imaging, Functional Brain Imaging, Multi-Parametric Prostate Imaging and many different MRA studies.

The D-H MRI department is expanding and changing. *Effective summer 2024, the department is expanding to 24/7 coverage and will be eliminating our routine on-call coverage. We are a close group of energetic technologists who enjoy working together to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our patients to receive exceptional-quality imaging. The team performs advanced imaging in a rural setting, giving you the opportunity to have professional experiences in our large medical system. Members new to the team benefit from training and experience on the two most popular MRI vendors performing advanced imaging.
We invite applications from both new Radiology Technician graduates to whom we will provide training within the modality and seasoned MRI Technologists.
The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures and maintains equipment and supplies.
This is a full-time, benefitted position working from Saturday - Tuesday with the following hours:
Saturday & Sunday: 7:30am-4pm
Monday: 7:00am-7:30pm
Tuesday: 8:30am-9pm
This position requires holidays on rotation.
The evening shift receives a 10% shift differential, and the weekend shift receives a 15% shift differential.

Responsibilities:- Reviews medical record for patient history and pertinent information. Reviews requisition with physician. Administers contrast material by means of existing IV line or by performing veno puncture and placing an IV line. Recognizes and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reaction. Evaluates images and send to PACS.
- Scans and reviews data on disk. Performs multi-plane reconstructions. Performs archive function. Selects & photographs pertinent data and forward to physician.
- Reviews studies for overall quality. Illuminates any problems noted which were not part of initial exam.
- Performs calibration check on equipment. Cleans and performs minor maintenance procedures. Logs problems and usage. Maintains wall units and ambu cord. Orders and maintains supplies.
- Instructs medical staff and technologists in unit's operations.
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology with 1 year of experience required.
- Registered with the ARRT.
- Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.
