About the opportunity: Perform diagnostic MRI and X-ray examinations while ensuring quality, efficiency, and continuity of patient care and image exam throughput and workflow. This position is PRN/Pool or as needed.What you will do:

1. Performs all MRI examinations according to Vail Health protocols.
2. Performs all radiographic examinations according to Vail Health protocols.
3. Review each examination for technical accuracy, send completed examinations to radiologist, and communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
4. Identifies each patient and reviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis. Reviews consistency of all demographic information including physician's name and signature, patient's name, and date.
5. Maintain constructive collaborative communication with patients, patient's family, physicians, co-workers and other members of health care team to contribute to continuity of care.
6. Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infection control standards, and universal precautions.
7. Maintains working knowledge and use of the Vail Health HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation.
8. Monitor supply inventory and notify appropriate staff for ordering when stock is low. Keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat.
9. Role models the principles of a Just Culture.
10. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

• 1-2 years of previous MRI Tech experience preferred. Previous experience in healthcare required.
• Previous X-ray tech experience including the ARRT registry.

License(s):

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) RT(R)(MR).

Certification(s):

• Basic Life Support required.

Computer / Typing:

• Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.

Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.Education:

• Completion of all educational and clinical requirements to qualify for ARRT examination.

5. Protects patients and employees by assisting in maintaining a clean, safe working environment, and adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
6. Displays cultural competency and ability to work with diverse patient populations.
7. Assists in maintain a clean, safe patient care environment. Assists in cleaning Preop/PACU rooms, equipment, and maintains cleanliness of areas around patient areas.
8. Accurately documents and collects data such as vital signs and PreOp checklist information.
9. Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
10. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) by the state of Colorado
• Certified in the state of Colorado as Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by American Medical Technologist (AMT)
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) by the National Center for Competency Testing
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcare Association
• Medical Assistant Certification (MAC) by the American Medical Certification Association
• Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) by the National Association for Health Professionals

Certification(s):

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
