Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring an MRI Technologist to join the Radiology team at the Outpatient Diagnostic Center!
Description:
The selected applicant will be eligible for up to $15,000 sign-on bonus! Could also receive $2,500 in relocation assistance, if applicable. The MRI Technologist is a registered professional who provides health care related imaging services to patients of a broad range of ages by performing high quality MRI studies. This will require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to effectively and efficiently complete. These studies assist the Radiologist in the diagnosis of disease processes. The MRI technologist must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication; proven judgment and decision-making skills; possess the ability to work rapidly with attention to detail and accuracy; ability to recognize and maintain confidential information; ability to work in stressful situations and desire to further own knowledge and performance relating to field. The MRI technologist must also have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public. The selected applicant must have a thorough knowledge of FDA safety standards, cardiac pacemakers, and other contraindicated items upon entering the magnetic field; be able to optimize and efficiently utilize time to complete the work required during scheduled shift; along with regulate and expedite patient flow without direct supervision. The MRI technologist's duties are performed within the framework of Sampson Regional Medical Center's policies and procedures and current professional standards.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma Required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program required
- ARRT registered in Radiography required
- ARRT registered in MRI required
- ARRT registered in CT preferred
- General knowledge of other imaging modalities, specifically Diagnostic and CT required
- Ability to perform Dexa preferred
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm. Rotating Weekends. May be required to work other hours for the effective operation of the department.
