Motor / Property Claims Technician
The Role:
We are looking for motivated colleagues with experience of handling first party motor or property claims who have great communications skills, to join our team. If you are reliable, pro-active and positive thinking we’d love to hear from you.
Our claims colleagues deal with all aspects of a claim from the day it is reported to the day it is settled. This specific role is to handle first party motor and property claims on a worldwide basis for an international client. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills and experience to an international environment.
The main responsibilities include verification of repair quotations and total losses, whilst identifying recovery opportunities. Utilising excellent communication skills to manage various stakeholders and build productive relationships is a key part of the role.
We are seeking a self-motivated and responsive individual who can converse with the client, facility managers and fleet managers, and respond to their queries, in a confident and professional manner.
Attention to details is essential to ensure that evolving claim processes are followed. We are seeking a well organised individual who is flexible and adaptive, who can grow with the client’s expectations to provide a first-class international claims service.
We will encourage and eventually look ahead to you having full case ownership, recognising, and conducting all of the appropriate investigations necessary to determine liability from first report, and then driving your own claims caseload to settlement as quickly as possible. Proactive claims handling is key. We`ll provide the training and support you will need to deliver a first-class claims handling service when needed most.
The role assumes that you have some experience of claims handling, everything else you can learn from us, all we need is your enthusiasm to learn and grow. We care about career progression and will support you as you develop to deal with more complex claims.
Many of our colleagues now benefit from working flexibly between the office and home, which helps support a healthy work/life balance. When you do spend time in our office, you’ll experience bright and open surroundings which offer excellent areas for collaboration as well as desk space. It’s an ideal environment for working alongside and interacting with fellow colleagues.
You will have/be:
Good level of education – at least to GCSE level or equivalent
Experience dealing with claims – particularly claim validation of repairs, quotes and total losses
Excellent Customer Service skills
Proven ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
Ability to work to monthly targets and be able to demonstrate that you are a team player
Strong communication skills - both written and oral. Clear written communication is vital as you will be liaising with stakeholders whose first language may not be English.
