The Mortgage Project Coordinator leads the planning and implementation of all departmental projects created by Mortgage Delivery Managers. Key responsibilities include ensuring projects are completed timely as required by each project’s requirements, setting goals throughout the project’s lifecycle and ensuring each goal is met, and keeping employees involved in each project on task. An ideal incumbent is decisive, proactive, and highly organized.
Responsibilities:• Lead the planning and implementation of Mortgage Delivery projects
• Prepare and maintain project plans and timelines
• Track project progress and prepare reports for project stakeholders
• Review project requirements, identify interdependencies with internal or external departments, delegate responsibilities, and ensure work is completed
• Schedule cross-functional meetings to facilitate collaboration
• Define and oversee the project tasks, resource requirements, and resource allocation
• Detect unstated assumptions, resolve conflict, and remove barriers by asking intelligent penetrating questions
• Take a creative approach to problem-solving, focusing on details while maintaining the big picture
• Schedule and assist with conducting project meetings
• Coordinate with department managers to develop project scope and objectives
• Cultivate relationships and business partnerships with other departments within the credit union and third-party vendors
• Act as liaison between Suncoast departments and/or third-party vendors
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting the area of expertise
• Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge
• Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees' role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in 1st mortgage lending
- Advanced level of organization skills
- Project Management experience preferred
- Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
- Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
- Ability to analyze and resolve difficult and often complex problems or situations
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
- Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures
- Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance
- Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties
