Currently, we are expanding our team and seeking MLOs residing in California, Arizona, and Nevada to join us as remote agents. As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will play a crucial role in assisting applicants with both refinance and purchase transactions, crafting loan proposals, and addressing the individual needs of our clients. You will manage a pipeline of loans at various stages of the process, offering a diverse range of products including conventional, governmental, non-QM, second mortgages, and commercial loans. Our seasoned processing and operations staff ensure a smooth and efficient experience for both employees and customers. Our team culture is centered on collective success, and we eagerly anticipate market improvements, new programs, and the growth of our team in the coming year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist potential borrowers in completing initial loan applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and requesting additional information or details as necessary.
- Verify information and financial history provided by applicants, obtaining credit reports from major bureaus.
- Submit applications to credit analysts or evaluate application and creditworthiness of potential borrowers, making recommendations regarding loan approval or modification.
- Approve loans within pre-approved lending limits or refer loans outside of limits to management for analysis and approval.
- Ensure loan agreements adhere to policy guidelines, calculating and explaining payment schedules to clients.
- Provide explanations of various lending, credit options, and bank products to potential and existing clients.
- Maintain accurate credit and lending records and files.
- Cultivate a strong referral network within the local banking community, fostering relationships with builders, real estate agents, and other related businesses.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
