Job Description:

A growing presence in the market is confidentially looking to add another Mortgage Lender member to their team. Specifically, they are seeking an experienced mortgage originator to bring their experience in the industry, along with their drive to achieve goals. This financial group hires the person, with a proven accumen for mortgage. Even with the down market, they are in this for the long-game. This company wants to always have experienced MLOs to service the customers. This role can be stronger base + incentives, or all incentives and can be reviewed annually to adjust for your personal and professional needs and goals as well as the market. The current Mortgage Loan Originators are making over a good living even in this down market.

Job Functions and Responsibilities: 

1. Responsible for the generation of mortgage loan production from referral sources, realtors, builders, consumer networking groups, etc. 

2. Utilize established personal network within the mortgage and banking industry to increase market share

3. Originate individual loan production and complete an initial loan application with all consumers.

4. Develop a book of business

5. Maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position

6. Identify referral sources to increase the Bank's presence and competitive status

Job Requirements

 Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in mortgage banking
• Must be registered and licensed in the Nationalwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as required by the S.A.F.E Act.
• Must be able to work at a rapid pace
• Must be able to travel as necessary.
• Must be hungry for business
• Effectively transfers thoughts and expresses ideas orally or verbally in individual or group situations.

Preferred: 
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
* 5+ years of experience in mortgage banking.

Skills:

•         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•         Ability to source leads in a growing database.
•         Telephone and video call relationship building.
•         Social Media, database, and marketing tools savvy and in-person business development
•         Disciplined for day-to-day work and ability to navigate emotional highs and lows of the closing process.
•         Driven to succeed and exceed sales targets.
•         Teachable attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Salary:

This position offers a base salary of $40,000k + top incentives to around $70k or so, depending on all the pieces coming together. No cap on earning potential.
