Position Summary:
The Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) assists consumers who are purchasing a new home and seeking a mortgage loan. Ensures exceptional customer experience by overseeing loan process from origination to close and providing on-going communication to customers throughout process.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review / Analyze credit and financial data.
- Determine borrower financing objectives and goals.
- Present appropriate products and programs and explain guidelines.
- Apprise of pricing and lock rate as required.
- Identify appropriate opportunities to sell additional products.
- Collect supporting loan documentation as required and provide complete package to Mortgage Loan Coordinator.
- Meet crucial deadlines.
- Work with Mortgage Loan Processors and Sales Associates to ensure that loan docs are submitted timely and to ensure that loan conditions are met.
- Partner with Mortgage Loan Processors with on-going communication to customer regarding loan status.
- Attend Sales and Broker Events
- Other related duties as requested by management

Required Experience:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
- Must be licensed in compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act.
- Experience working for a Builder or Realtor’s in-house mortgage company is a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Solid time management skills and the ability to organize prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze and comprehend complex financial data and provide financial alternatives.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Working knowledge of database management and of utilizing information technology for communication purposes including accessing rate, credit and loan status information.
- Must have effective interpersonal skills to provide professional customer service.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and courtesy.
- Ability to meet established timelines/deadlines
- Requires travel to/from communities throughout Central and South Florida
- Requires standard weekend hours.
- Attend company Grand Openings are required.
