We are currently on the lookout for a passionate and knowledgeable Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting clients with securing residential mortgage loans while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. We enthusiastically welcome newly licensed candidates, offering mentorship and training for those who demonstrate the right fit for the role.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing loan applications to determine eligibility based on financial status, credit history, and property evaluations.
- Assisting clients in selecting the most suitable mortgage products tailored to their needs and financial circumstances.
- Guiding clients through the entire mortgage application process, from pre-approval to closing.
- Staying up-to-date with Massachusetts mortgage lending laws, regulations, and market conditions.
- Cultivating and nurturing strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other industry professionals.
- Ensuring timely collection and submission of all required documents.
- Providing clients with clear and accurate information regarding loan terms, conditions, and associated costs.
- Collaborating with underwriting and closing departments to facilitate smooth and timely processing of mortgage loans.
Our ideal candidate possesses:
- A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Welcoming newly licensed Loan Officers to apply, with mentorship and training opportunities available.
- Commission-based compensation structure with significant earning potential.
- Comprehensive understanding of mortgage products, the loan origination process, and Massachusetts state regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in mortgage loan software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Capability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Licensing by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) or the ability to obtain licensure.
