Job Overview:
As a Junior Business Analyst, you will play a vital role in understanding and documenting customer business functions and processes. Acting as a liaison between various stakeholders, you'll be instrumental in identifying business needs, objectives, and operational procedures, ensuring smooth communication and optimal system performance. Your keen eye for improvement opportunities and commitment to enhancing processes will drive innovation within our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and document customer business functions and processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and objectives, and document operational procedures.
Act as a liaison between end-users and technical teams throughout the system development lifecycle.
Analyze feasibility and develop requirements for new systems and enhancements.
Track and document changes for functional and business specifications, ensuring comprehensive records.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in proposing new systems or operational changes.
Conduct change impact analysis and document business rules, functions, and requirements.
Participate in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
Obtain in-depth knowledge of assigned business processes and create requirement documents.
Challenge IT and business teams to improve processes continually.
Determine changes across existing systems to achieve required functionality.
Define requirements in finer detail, including workflows and business rules.
Prepare user interface and data exchange requirement specifications.
Finalize data definitions and mappings between systems and modules.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
Preferred experience in mortgage banking or financial services.
Familiarity with Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Strong business analysis skills.
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
Experience supporting business and IT teams, including requirements gathering and project management.
Preferred experience or knowledge of Salesforce.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
