As a Permanent Mortgage Branch Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in our construction company, overseeing all aspects of mortgage operations within the branch. You'll be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of loan officers and processors, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of loans, and maintaining a strong relationship with various stakeholders, including real estate agents, builders, and sales staff at development sites. Your role will also involve staying informed about industry trends and regulations, implementing compliance measures, and identifying growth opportunities to expand the branch's market presence. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor loan officers and loan processors.
- Conduct regular office meetings to align team goals and address challenges.
- Monitor performance metrics and provide feedback to improve productivity.
- Interface with escrow, lenders, and staff to manage the loan pipeline.
- Coordinate loan applications, approvals, and closings.
- Maintain broker approvals with wholesale lenders.
- Stay informed about lender requirements and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with lender policies and government regulations.
- Report financial information to the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System.
- Implement compliance measures within the branch.
- Foster strong relationships with sales staff at development sites.
- Collaborate with real estate agents, builders, and other industry professionals.
- Represent the branch positively and professionally.
- Review loan files for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to guidelines.
- Address any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Assist loan applicants as needed, providing exceptional service.
- Communicate with lenders and underwriters to resolve any issues.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries or concerns.
- Identify growth opportunities and implement strategies to expand the branch’s market presence.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to attract new clients.
- Monitor industry trends and adjust branch strategies accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mortgage industry, preferably in a managerial role.
- Comprehensive understanding of mortgage loan processes, from origination to closing.
- Strong knowledge of lender requirements, guidelines, and government regulations affecting the mortgage industry.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proven ability to foster strong relationships with various stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle escalated customer inquiries or concerns effectively.
- Proficiency in using mortgage software and reporting systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to stay informed about industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
