Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Grade: AU04, Up to 3.75 hours, 170 days
Primary Purpose:
Facilitate order among students in the cafeteria during lunch periods.

Ability to communicate effectively
Experience
Some experience working with children, preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor student behavior during lunch periods to ensure compliance with district and campus policy.
- Monitor activity in gender-appropriate cafeteria restrooms.
- Assist with orderly evacuation of students in the event of an emergency.
- Assist children with infrequent needs such as unexpected illness or injury.
- Assist with cafeteria clean-up, including table roll-away.
- Attend training courses applicable to the responsibilities of the position.
- Report accidents involving students and summon help.

Posture: Prolonged standing; occasional kneeling, squatting, bending, and stooping
Motion: Constant walking, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reaching
Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: Exposure to noise; work on possible slippery surfaces
Mental demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
