What You'll Do
- Perform lab tests (nucleic acid isolation, PCR, NGS, and more) using automated and manual methods.
- Conduct tasks like extractions, library prep, reagent prep, and data analysis.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot cutting-edge equipment (e.g., KingFisher, MiSeq).
- Ensure quality through adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and Good Documentation Practices.
- Contribute to process improvements and train lab assistants and other team members.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Proficiency in lab techniques (micropipetting, dilutions, and safety protocols).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with lab information systems and regulatory standards (CAP, CLIA, FDA).
Preferred Qualifications
- ASCP, AMT, AAB, or equivalent certification.
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology, microbiology, or genetics in a clinical lab.
- Expertise with advanced lab equipment like QuantStudio, Hamilton MicroLab STAR, or MiSeq.
