Job Details
Our client is looking for an Injection Mold Technician to join their team in Newton, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in injection molding processes, equipment, and troubleshooting. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our injection molding machines and the production of high-quality parts.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate injection molding machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
Perform mold changes, including disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of molds.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with injection molding equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
Conduct regular maintenance tasks on molds and machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Monitor and adjust process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time to achieve desired part quality and production efficiency.
Inspect parts for defects and implement corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
Document process parameters, production data, and maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly.
Train and mentor machine operators and production personnel on injection molding processes and equipment operation.
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to implement process improvements and resolve quality issues.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or certification in injection molding technology is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an injection mold technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in setting up and operating injection molding machines, preferably with experience on machines such as [specific machines if applicable].
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills; ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Knowledge of mold design, materials, and processing techniques.
Familiarity with quality control principles and techniques; experience with measuring instruments and inspection methods.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
