Mold Maintenance Technician
Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepare, clean and inspect molds for production use.
- Disassemble molds and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Be able to assemble molds.
- Sand blast molds as needed.
- Work with Mold Shop to develop an action plan when extensive repairs are needed.
- Work with production scheduler to determine mold priorities.
- Enter work orders into maintenance records using a tracking software program.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Must have basic math skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to use basic hand tools
- Must be able to use measuring tools (feeler gages, micrometers, ect...)
- Must be able to operate forklifts.
- Must be able to use overhead jib crane as well as rigging experience
- Must be able to work with little supervision
- Must be able to handle changing priorities
- Must have good organizational skills
- Must maintain a SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
2 years technical degree in CNC Machinist / Programming
At least five years' related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
