Mold Maintenance Technician

Duties/Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean and inspect molds for production use.
• Disassemble molds and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Be able to assemble molds.
• Sand blast molds as needed.
• Work with Mold Shop to develop an action plan when extensive repairs are needed.
• Work with production scheduler to determine mold priorities.
• Enter work orders into maintenance records using a tracking software program.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be mechanically inclined
• Must have basic math skills
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be able to use basic hand tools
• Must be able to use measuring tools (feeler gages, micrometers, ect...)
• Must be able to operate forklifts.
• Must be able to use overhead jib crane as well as rigging experience
• Must be able to work with little supervision
• Must be able to handle changing priorities
• Must have good organizational skills
• Must maintain a SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

2 years technical degree in CNC Machinist / Programming

At least five years' related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
