DCS Corporation is seeking a growth-oriented Branch Manager to support National Security and Department of Defense (DoD) programs in Columbus, OH. In this role you will lead and contribute to a highly technical staff performing technical services in modeling, simulation, technical analysis, and agile software development in support of the U.S. Government research, development, and analysis. DCS is an employee-owned company known for creating innovative technology solutions for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, Army, Navy, and the Intelligence Community.
This opportunity provides a dynamic work environment with the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art simulation technologies, software engineering experts, analysts, and military Subject Matter Experts (SME). This work currently focuses on the research, development, integration, enhancement, and application of modeling and simulation capability and tools for both constructive and virtual simulation applications, but we seek growth from this team into additional areas.
Essential Job Functions:
Leadership of 10+ employees which includes personnel management, business development, contract execution, and office/facility management.
Business development responsibilities include supporting the identification and pursuit of follow-on and new business. This includes supporting responses to customer request for information and requests for proposals.
Personnel management responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, and retention of staff. This entails oversight of staff assignments, monitoring direct coverage, and troubleshooting issues that arise. Duties also include mentoring of staff, employee skills and career development, and fostering a productive, collaborative, and technically exciting work environment.
Contract execution responsibilities include contributing to and monitoring technical, schedule, and cost performance on assigned contracts to ensure high customer satisfaction and compliance with contract requirements in conjunction with DCS’s policies and quality management system.
An additional responsibility is to operate collaboratively as part of the larger Air and Space Technology Sector and greater DCS Corporation to find and exploit synergies for staff advancement and organizational growth.
Office management responsibilities include oversight and coordination of office administration personnel and responsibility for the offices’ security program.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least a High School graduate with 14 years of experience in a technical field or a bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of successful technical experience.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: Active SECRET clearance required on day 1.
Experience working with U.S. Air Force (particularly AFRL), the U.S. / DoD.
Experience in business development activities.
Experience performing and managing technical services for the U.S. Government.
Excellent working knowledge of standard office tools and corporate information systems.
Desired Skills:
Experience working with the Intelligence Community, OSU, and State of Ohio.
Experience with the business capture lifecycle, proposal writing, and cost estimation.
Experience managing software development and/or research teams.
As this position is based in Columbus, candidates from the metropolitan area are preferred.
Experience or training in geospatial sciences.
Experience with DoD Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) markets.
Domain expertise in software development (C/C++, Java), modeling and simulation, and operations analysis.
An advanced degree (MS or PhD) preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
TOP SECRET clearance preferred.
