Description:
As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the build out for the customer transport routes and new circuits.
You Will Make an Impact By
Perform a variety of scheduling and planning functions encompassing: conceptual schedules, options analysis, baselines, progress measurement, and reporting with limited supervision.
Proficient in the reading & understanding of dark fiber contracts, with the ability to act on the terms set out within the contract.
Create reports suitable for all required levels of Project analysis.
Implement standard procedures for scheduling including baselining, giving status updates, progress measurement, and schedule quality analysis.
Responsibility to keep projects updated using PM systems.
Updating dates, status, work logs/comments. Updating project structure, adding and removing deliverables, managing dependencies.
Working with the local TPM/PM and sitting in the project status meetings, understanding the nature and status of the Projects, taking notes on all changes and updates, and reflecting those changes in Tool of Record.
Work closely with other teams monitoring their performance and act as point of contact for them when they executing directives.
Work closely with vendors being an escalation point for them on certain tasks.
Coordinate material delivery: ensuring that material is committed to by supply chain and coordinating with logistics to ensure material shipped and received on time
Assess work and set Target Dates. Ensure wherever possible that Requested Dates on Projects are met in a timely manner.
Communicate risks and changes via risk and change logs.
Ensure that escalations take place where a project meeting its target date is at risk.
Required Qualifications/Skills
Experience working in Telecom industry and understanding of network infrastructure and provisioning practices is essential.
Knowledge of project management: practices, and standards.
Experience working with a commercial Project Management system such as MS Project, Primavera, Merlin or something similar. Experience with Excel
Strong written / verbal communication skills.
Self-Starting. Candidate must have a bias towards action and take the initiative to engage in the activity or conversation needed to contribute to completing a goal.
Must Have:
Experience working in Telecom industry and understanding of network infrastructure and provisioning practices is essential.
Knowledge in project management and standards.
experience with working with commercial project management system such as MS Project, Primavera, Merlin or something similar. Experience with Excel
strong verbal and communication skills
Good to have:
knowledge in automation, create dashboards, reports in a project management system
Technical knowledge in optical fiber network
Education:
Associates Degree with 5 years of Experience in Telecom related field
OR
Bachelors Degree with 2 years of Experience in Telecom related field
Day to Day:
managing different projects on different stages
supporting customer project, contractors will review projects, reviewing status and preparing reports for customer teams.
Summarizing and preparing analysis and identifying challenged in the projects.
Coordination of supply chain team.
Understanding the nature and status of the projects and updating the project managements and task completion the project management tool.
Create reports in the dashboard.
Work with vendors and being an escalation point for them.

Location: Anywhere in the U.S.
No traveling requirement- Working from home
Hours: West Coast 8AM-4 PM, Eastern Time Zone. 9-5. (working with some manager in Central Time Zone).
