LB Smith has an immediate opening for a Mobile Service Technician to join our team. In this role, the Mobile Service Technician will perform light duty services on-site at the customer's location.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair issues with vehicles.
- Utilize Ford IDS scan tool equipment for software updates to vehicles.
- Properly document all information about vehicles during the intake process.
- Work closely with Service Advisors for communications to/from the customer regarding the repairs.
- Maintain a personal tool set with everything needed for diagnostics and repair.
- Keep detailed records of all parts, fluids, and time associated with each project via the dealership software.
- Maintain a clean and safe work vehicle.
- Excellent mechanical repair skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
- Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
- Ability to read service and repair manuals.
- Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.
- Ability to read work orders.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three years of related experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Skills:
High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical and Work Environment:
- Majority of work will be done on site a customer’s locations.
- Long periods of driving and siting in vehicle.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. regularly.
- Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.
- Good vision to inspect repair work.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
