Position Summary:
Responsible for performing skilled maintenance, installation, and fabrication tasks in the assigned trades (General Maintenance, Welder, Roofer, Painter, Plumbing and Commercial Door Repair) area of responsibility. They should understand how to follow a preventive maintenance schedule for equipment and provide technical support to the assigned supervisory personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Promote working in a safe manner by establishing designated work zones with posted signage, communicating hazards adequately to nearby employees, utilizing proper PPE, initiating stop-work practices in unsafe situations, reporting incidents and injuries promptly, and confronting unsafe acts and situations related to contractor work
- Perform PM's, troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, and installations to industrial equipment including mechanical systems, HVAC, lighting, access controls, cameras, and other equipment. This will require weekly and monthly inspections of equipment and good record keeping ability
- Adhere to the RECARO Lock out/Tag out program and other OSHA requirements and standards
- Participate in ariel work, overhead lifting activities, loading and unloading of equipment, and other setup and relocation of heavy equipment or objects
- Light plumbing, fabricating, painting, housekeeping, groundskeeping, facilities inspection overhead doors repairs, events setup and teardown, inclement weather preparations, assisting other tradesman and emergency repairs
- Promote good housekeeping including adherence and response to Bloodborne Pathogens standards/events and maintain an organized work area.
- Coordinate with external vendors.
- Maintain compliance with Federal and State Environmental regulations and agencies within RECARO guidelines .
- Operate forklift, scissor/boom man lifts, company vehicles and other necessary equipment to perform job duties.
- Able to work periodic weekends and evenings to accomplish certain tasks in non-production hours to minimize the impact to production.
- Motivated self-starter who can manage tasks and projects and make decisions, and is also willing to be a part of a high performing team
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience in maintenance support in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to remain flexible in a dynamic business environment
- Ability to read/comprehend schematics, blueprints and technical information
- Work effectively as a team member in a high performing team
- Experience in plumbing
- Experience in carpentry, plumbing, painting
- Experience in operating a forklift
