APPS Paramedical is one of the largest paramedical companies in the United States, offering nationwide coverage as we complete insurance physicals for people applying for life or disability insurance products. The Illinois office for APPS is looking for quality medical professionals to help us complete these exams in a timely and professional manner.
Job Summary:
- Our independent contractors (ICs) are self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision as they complete quality exams while using their medical know-how.
- These exams are done on a mobile basis in the home or office of the client, and may involve blood draws, medical histories, signatures on packets, vital signs, salvia samples and 12 lead EKGs.
- They should be committed to following all compliance policies as well as safety policies and procedures while remaining sensitive to the need for accuracy and confidentiality in the gathering of client information.
- Depending on the exam requirements, an exam can last anywhere from 15-30 minutes.
Hours:
- Set your own schedule! We offer exams 7 days a week and 52 weeks of the year.
- We schedule your appointments for you, so you get to focus on what you do best…medical exams!
Reimbursement:
- $20.00-$35.00 per completed case based on performance.
- You are reimbursed every two weeks by direct deposit for each exam you complete.

Orientation:
We provide a 6-hour orientation time to verify your skills as well as show you the paperwork and website used by our ICs.

Equipment:
We have equipment such as tablets, EKG machines and centrifuges for our ICs to rent or purchase.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience, as well as familiarity with taking vital signs.
- Familiarity with tablets/computers and scanners is a must.
- Preferred experience with pediatric and geriatric patients/home health.
- EKG experience is preferred, but not required.
- Please expect references to be checked as well as a background check and drug test.
Education preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certificate preferred.
