Mobile Fleet Technician Opportunity Summary:
The W.W.Williams Company is currently looking to hire a Mobile Fleet Technician who has the skills and experience to inspect and perform preventive maintenance on customer vehicles at their preferred location.The Mobile Fleet Technician is responsible for and will provide PM services for our customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. This will include: maintenance and detailed visual inspections on customer units to identify damaged, worn, or broken parts. Job Duties:
- Provide Preventative Maintenance (PM) to Trucks and Identify unreported problems.
- Effective Communication with the dispatcher on arrivals, departures, and job progress.
- Daily Inventory management.
- Participate in required training and utilize that training in the course of their work.
- Complete timely, quality PM services
- Documentation management per company guidelines to include proper completion of Field Service Reports (FSR) and used oil manifest completion.
Work Experience and Qualifications:
- Willing to work irregular hours on customer sites, in all weather conditions to include nights and weekends.
- To be flexible with work schedule
- Basic/intermediate understanding of the truck
- Motivated to help grow the mobile business in our chosen market
- Tools are a plus but not required. WW Williams will provide PM specific tooling for the task.
- Experience as a Diesel Mechanic / Service Tech is a plus but not required.
- Possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) (No CDL Required).
- Must be organized and have good verbal/written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to make clear, sound decisions. Shows initiative and works independently to perform quality inspections and repairs
