About the Role:
As a Mobile Crisis Specialist (MCS) at HopeLink, you'll be a vital part of our crisis response team. You will respond to and triage crisis and mobile crisis requests received from the Regional Crisis Call Center and 988. This involves screening for medical necessity, ensuring safety, coordinating care, and documenting interactions in our crisis data platform. You'll work closely with Clinicians and Dispatchers to provide timely and effective support to individuals in crisis.

- Night Shift: $57,200 annually

- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming calls and complete outbound calls to coordinate care and resolve crisis situations with accuracy, compassion, and efficiency.
- Demonstrate strong engagement skills and build rapport with individuals in crisis.
- Screen incoming crisis requests, ensuring safety and effective crisis resolution.
- Utilize medical necessity criteria to guide crisis intervention based on acuity and risk.
- Offer alternative resources when mobile crisis response is not appropriate.
- Participate in required training, supervision, meetings, and clinical oversight to enhance knowledge and skills in suicide intervention, behavioral health, and crisis services.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all interactions in the designated platform.
- Adhere to call center policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in a human services-related field is required (Social Work or Counseling preferred).
- Experience:
- Experience as a behavioral health professional is preferred.
- Experience with crisis intervention and contact center training is strongly preferred.
- Critical thinking and effective decision-making in high-acuity crisis situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Adaptability and ability to effectively plan and adjust to new processes.
- Strong collaborative relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare, behavioral health, crisis services, and clinical standards of practice.
- Understanding of Medicaid managed care, behavioral health assessments, suicide intervention, recovery concepts, and community resources.
