Project Canary is looking for an experienced, results oriented Mobile Application Developer to join our growing team. A successful candidate will be creative, attentive to detail, willing and eager to learn new technologies, and able to jump anywhere to help push things forward. They will work with our engineering team to help with building performant mobile apps on both the iOS and Android platforms. They will be responsible for architecting and building these applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. They will have experience architecting and building complex web applications from scratch.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop high quality enterprise-scale React Native apps with pixel-perfect UIs across both Android and iOS mobile platforms.
- Understand requirements and user stories by reading existing legacy code and talking to end users
- Participate in R&D and exploration of new technologies, frameworks, best practices and techniques to continuously improve our products and services
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent professional experience)
- 4+ years of professional React Native development experience in an Agile environment with a frontend/UI mobile-first development
- 3+ years' experience designing and implementing mobile application
- Strong fundamental understanding of React, Redux, CSS and restful APIs
- Understanding of authentication/authorization using OAuth and JWT/bearer tokens
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment where you will be expected to be in office 3+ days/week
- Experience working with Mapbox and real time mapping
- Experience streaming data from 3rd party devices over Bluetooth or WIFI

- Salary range: $145,000 - $165,000 annual base
