Position Summary:
The Software Engineer-Mobile is responsible for creating and updating mobile applications for AEG Presents festivals via proprietary content management systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, solid front-end coding experience, and an excitement for the latest mobile app technologies. This role will also involve providing tier 2 support for app bugs /content updates and occasionally traveling to festivals.
Essential Functions:
- Work with team to develop mobile applications and related architecture for mobile platforms by using test-driven development methodology (i.e., iterative methodology that prioritizes creating and checking test cases at every stage of software development) to support Presents music festivals for the best possible fan experience via use of our proprietary mobile applications.
- Support the research of, evaluate and recommend open source or commercially available development tools (e.g., linters, static code analysis, etc.), technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform. Document findings on industry best practices and emerging technologies for team members’ reference/use.
- Review and optimize media content (e.g., ticket package information, maps/directions to festival sites, etc.) from Marketing teams for all asset types for mobile apps. Create and manage media asset library for Consumer Products team.
- Track tasks, accounting for constant schedule and deadline changes, with project management tools (e.g., Jira) and provide project updates to internal clients and Consumer Products team. Tasks range from prep work (i.e., requirement intake, asset gathering, wireframes, etc.), design and build of mobile apps, to review and rollout of deliverables.
- Provide tier 2 support for mobile apps, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve technical problems.
- Use coding languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and proprietary content management systems and tools to edit and code mobile app elements (copy, pictures, colors, etc.) to update and maintain AEG Presents' portfolio (Goldenvoice, Bowery Presents, Zero Mile, PromoWest, etc.) of 20+ mobile apps.
- Test and track user engagement and gather user data via AEG Presents mobile apps to increase event conversions/ticket sales using analytics tools (e.g., GA4, heatmaps, etc.) and A/B (split testing). Share insights with Consumer Products team to inform strategy for Creative teams.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred)in Computer Science or related technical area.
- 2-4years of overall software development experience, with an emphasis on mobile engineering.
- Proficient in core front-end web and mobile technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with editing, resizing, and optimizing creative assets in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and Figma.
- Experience with AWS, Lambda functions and Node.JS
- Experience working in a startup environment preferred.
- Experience using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, etc.).
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail.
- Must maintain knowledge of current UX industry best practices.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to provide tier 2 support and occasionally travel to festivals.
Pay Scale:$97,405-$132,824
