Position Location: Hybrid – based out of St. Paul, MN
Overview: This position is responsible for the stewardship and service of the organization’s members and supporters. It is responsible for overseeing and delivering stewardship activities associated with a myriad of membership and giving programs, while focusing on providing outbound stewardship and engagement efforts along with inbound customer service. This position also supports a variety of administrative and operational functions of the membership and annual giving team, which is part of the overall Development Team. This is a critical role in strengthening relationships, supporting programs and providing support to our more than 480,000 members, supporters and partners.

Compensation and Location: Commensurate qualifications and experience plus benefits. Starting salary range: $48,000- $60,000. Location is based out of Pheasants Forever, Inc. headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Steward relationships with current members and supporters through personalized communication, such as thank you letters, thank you notes, newsletters, and recognition programs.
- Acknowledge and thank members and supporters for their support, fostering a sense of community and connection.
- Provide a high level of customer service to members and supporters.
- Support the organization’s strategic plan and fundraising initiatives by encouraging members and supporters to contribute financially.
- Further relationships with potential and current donors, ensuring they understand how their contributions impact the organization’s mission.
- Help organize campaigns such as annual appeals, donor recognition programs, or comprehensive campaigns.
- Develop and implement strategies for engaging members and donors.
- Manage membership and donor databases, ensuring that constituent records are up to date.
- Track membership engagement and analyze trends to inform strategies.
- Develop and manage content for member and supporter communications, including newsletters, emails, and social media.
- Work closely with the Development Team and MarCom support team to promote membership benefits and activities.
- Ensure that messaging aligns with the organization’s mission and values.
- Stay abreast of stewardship trends and strategies that will help enhance the donor experience.
- Assist with monitoring membership and annual giving trends and report on progress toward goals.
- Analyze membership demographics and engagement to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Deliver stewardship efforts in a timely manner to ensure members and donors feel appreciated.
- Provide leadership for the creation and execution of consistent stewardship strategies and practices designed to inspire higher levels of philanthropic support.
- Manage donor recognition lists to ensure accuracy.
- Track and coordinate distribution of recognition plaques and awards with team and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A passion for Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s mission, as well as knowledge and appreciation of conservation, hunting, and the outdoors.
- A B.A or B.S. degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a membership-driven organization, association or affiliate organization, nonprofit sector, similar role related to member and donor stewardship, or sales and customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with members and other stakeholders.
- Baseline knowledge in the areas of membership, philanthropy, and events.
- An energetic, well-organized, and detailed individual.
- A focus on ensuring members have a positive experience with the organization.
- Donor database management is required, and experience with Microsoft CRM is valued.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
