Summary Of Job:
As a global supplier of solder technologies, fluxes, cleaners and other attachment materials for the electronics assembly industry, we develop innovative materials that join electronic circuits in high volume device manufacturing. Our high-performing interconnect materials are used to assemble consumer electronics from circuit boards, discrete electronic components, connectors and integrated circuit substrates. We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of new engineered products and the associated manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development, engineering, and project management. Job Responsibilities:
- Develop solder and Argomax preforms and the processes to manufacture them. Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D and Marketing, as well as outside contractors in the development of new engineered products.
- Lead efforts in the development of innovating technologies and the development of new processes to produce new products/preforms.
- Coordinate new product development, from product concepts to packaging of new preforms products.
- Manage projects to improve or develop processes to make preforms from different alloys, different shapes, different coatings, and different processes.
- Work with processes as, Argomax coating, Edgegate flux coating, extrusion, rolling, slitting, stamping, de-burring, packaging, laser cutting, powder forming and sintering, manage all tool room activities and automation of new developed process.
- Develop and /or select equipment for processing and packaging preforms as, pick and place systems, spooling and winding.
- Conduct feasibility studies on new proposed products or processes.
- Set-up, support and implementation of preform pilot projects, responsible for analysis of the data and drawing up the conditions to be imposed on the process and product improvement activities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in the engineering or technical field, at least five plus years of experience in tool engineering, precision stamping, lamination, rolling and slitting, extrusion, reel to reel processing, process automation, and high-speed assembly.
- Design experience with various materials of construction.
- Ability to do basic 2D &3D design on Auto Cad, Solid works and/or Fusion 360
- Very good communication skills.
- Possess good writing skills.
- Comfortable running tool shop equipment.
- Must be computer literate. Excel, Word, Power Point, AutoCad
- Must abide by all Company policies/procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations.
- Possesses well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Addresses inquiries and resolves problems by using appropriate resources/other departments to achieve results/answers.
- Present a professional attitude and handle confidential information according to non-disclosure guidelines.
