A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As an Industrial Engineering Internship at Technical Operations, ISB MKS, you will partner with Manufacturing Engineering team to provide technician level support. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Manager of Technical Operations MFG Engineering.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Work with Manufacturing Engineering staff to provide technician level support to ISB Assembly business in a design, engineering, manufacturing, and reliability environment.
Incumbent will assist Manufacturing Engineers in support of existing products and assist in making improvements under the direction of other senior engineers
Incumbent will assist Manufacturing Engineers in support of NPI new programs on manufacturing processes, metrologies and test stations development and documentations.
Use programs to collect and evaluate/analyze data to conduct on-line adjustments and/or optimization to products and stations to provide touch time, first pass yield and cycle time.
Willing to learn new things through daily tasks. For example, SAP, with good failure analysis and English skills to create RMAs reports to customers.
Skills You Bring:
Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program for Engineering (Industrial Engineering, Physics, Optics, Optical Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, EE, Mechanical Engineering)
Working knowledge or understanding of electrical, electronics and semiconductor devices, including lasers and geometry Optics.
Familiarity with engineering laboratory instruments, such as Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Network Analyzers
Ability to work on tasks effectively, independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience problem solving through engineering methods and techniques
Preferred Skills:
Proficient experience with coding language, like C, C++, Python
MATLAB simulation and data analysis experience
Hourly Pay Range: $22.00 to $29.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.
