Clearance:
Due to the nature of the work, an active Secret clearance is required for the start of the program. This person will need to upgrade to a Top Secret clearance once onboarded.

Work Environment:
Candidate will need to be 100% onsite from the first day of assignment. There may be some flexibility down the road for some partial remote work, but it is dependent upon the nature of the projects being worked on.

Interview Process:
The interview process will be two rounds; one initial pre-screen and then a wider group audience IN PERSON INTERVIEW. This team will want to do in persons. We will not be accepting relocation candidates for this role.
 

Background/Need

2 Desktop Support/Junior Systems Admin candidates are needed in the Communication Systems and Cyber Security Division to support the development of new technologies that enable worldwide networked operations for the military and other government agencies. The division addresses the needs of next-generation satellite, airborne, and terrestrial networks using its core expertise in radio frequency (RF), fiber and free-space optics, cyber security, network protocols and services, information operations, communications processing, and speech and language technologies. The division is extensively involved in field experimentation and measurement campaigns to verify algorithms and architectural concepts in operational environments.

Required Skills: •3-4 years of Desktop support experience •Experience and familiarity with the following operating systems - Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019, Windows 7 and 10. •Experience working on Mac systems. •The ability to Collaborate with team members in order to complete assigned tasks/projects. •Experience managing and tracking issues with ticketing program (Remedy, Service Now, Jira, etc) •Install, update, and troubleshoot systems/servers. •BS degree or equivalent experience. Any prior military experience is a plus. They will modify the years of experience if someone has the majority of the technical skills and a military background. Preferred Experience: •Systems Administration is a plus. •Any Linux experience is a plus. •Experience managing classified IT systems, STIGs, SCAPS, RMF •Experience maintaining directory services. (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, etc.). •Managing afs infrastructure to include users, groups and data. •Managing lifecycles of equipment to include computers, servers and mobility •Configuring and managing Cisco/Juniper equipment to include switches, routers and Call Managers. •Troubleshooting mobile devices to included iPhones, iPads •Basic experience with managing or operating containers •Experience with virtual machines. (e.g., Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare vSphere, Citrix XenDesktop/Server, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, etc.). •Experience managing system/server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability. •Able to diagnose and perform repairs on faulty system/server hardware. •Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures. •Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures. •Conduct periodic system maintenance including cleaning (both physically and electronically), disk checks, routine reboots, data dumps, and testing. •Provide ongoing optimization and problem-solving support
