We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwork Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving our millwork projects, from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on various projects, including but not limited to the design and manufacturing of panels, columns, mouldings, furniture, and cabinetry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, CNC operations, and project management. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage millwork projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards and client specifications.
2. Utilize expert knowledge of woodwork, panels, columns, mouldings, and cabinetry to design and engineer products.
3. Operate CNC machines to manufacture furniture and other wood products.
4. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
5. Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budget.
6. Constantly evaluate project progress and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
7. Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns as needed.
8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control measures.
9. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
10. Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in millwork engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience in project management and a strong understanding of project management principles.
3. Extensive knowledge of woodwork, including panels, columns, mouldings, and cabinetry.
4. Proficiency in using CNC machines for manufacturing wood products.
5. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. A degree in Engineering, Woodworking, or a related field is preferred.
9. Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control measures in the woodworking industry.
10. A strong desire to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
