We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Millwork Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in woodwork, who is passionate about the craft and science of engineering. As a Permanent Millwork Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our operations, overseeing the design, development, and execution of intricate millwork projects. You will have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, from residential to commercial and everything in between. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and engineer detailed millwork projects, including but not limited to cabinets, doors, windows, and other custom woodwork products.
2. Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and contractors to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality millwork solutions.
3. Utilize CAD software to create precise and detailed drawings for manufacturing.
4. Oversee the entire production process, from initial concept to final installation, ensuring that all millwork items are constructed and installed to the highest standards.
5. Conduct regular inspections of the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to quality control standards.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the design, manufacturing, or installation stages.
7. Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the millwork and broader woodworking industry.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in millwork engineering or a similar role.
3. Proficient in CAD software and other industry-standard design tools.
4. Extensive knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, tools, and machinery.
5. Strong understanding of quality control standards and safety regulations in the millwork industry.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
7. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
8. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
9. A keen eye for detail, precision, and aesthetics.
