Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking a Machinist 2 to join our team in Hopkinton, MA. You'll be responsible for machining parts per drawings using standard machine shop tooling, using Bed/Knee mill with ProtoTRAK controls, and torch (silver) brazing copper filters. The machined parts consist of tight tolerance (+/-.001), complex, and RF/microwave items in a secured environment.

Salary Range: $48,600 - $81,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Basic Qualifications :
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Ability to utilize lathes and milling machines to make metal parts
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions via interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
- Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds and stand continuously for 3 hours at a time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-5 years' experience working in a machine shop
- Silver torch braze copper filter assemblies.
- Ability to operate ProtoTRAK Bed/Knee Mill
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate
- Strong Math skills
