Job Summary/Purpose

The purpose of the Milling & Extrusion Operative is to mill and extrude material for Perlast and PPE using the correct method as set forth in the job card in a safe and productive manner.

Essential Duties

+ Follow all instructions on the Job Card required for milling and extruding materials, ensuring correct process is used for optimum results + Responsible for working within the set quality standards to make sure only good quality products are passed along to the next stage of manufacturing + Measure product thoroughly and add to material following the standard work instructions + Measure and cut product to appropriate length to ensure maximum efficiency and quality of product + Responsible for following safety guidelines and reporting any and all near misses, incidents, and accidents to the appropriate personnel + Ensure that work area is properly clean at all times especially at the end of the shift + Throughout the shift work will be recorded into the system in a timely and accurate fashion + Bring any issues or “stops” to production to your cell leader or appropriate personnel

Working Environment

+ This position is stationed in the clean room, requiring the operator to wear appropriate protective gear (suit, ear plugs, safety glasses, shoe covers, hair net, beard covers, etc.)

Physical Requirements

+ Lifting up to 50 lbs. + Standing majority of the shift

Qualifications
