Mill Operator at Manpower

Our client in Akron, NY is seeking a Mill Set Up Operator to join their team. The Mill Set Up Operator is part of an established team in a fast paced environment, responsible for performing various tasks and operations. The team member provides support within the mill and in the yard. the daily routine will require the candidate to be on their feet nearly 100% of the time and includes walking, standing, reaching, lifting, stooping or bending.

Pay Range: $16.75-$18.00/hour

What’s the Job?

Max of 5

• Responsible for setting up rips, sanders, stickers, double ender, shaper and plainer
• Back up for wax kiln process
• Ensure quality product is being produced and resolving issues when they arise with equipment
• All other duties as assigned

What’s Needed?

• High School Diploma/GED
• Judgement, problem solving and decision making skills
• Team player, offering help without being asked? wherever the help is needed
• Ability to learn to operate a forklift
• Basic computer skills
