Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Mill/Lathe Programmer, you will be responsible for:
1. Programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts.
2. Utilizing Mastercam software to create and revise CNC programs.
3. Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate programming and production.
4. Performing regular inspections of finished products using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers to maintain quality control.
5. Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
6. Collaborating with other team members to improve manufacturing processes and techniques.
7. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with machines and programs.
8. Training and mentoring less experienced team members on CNC programming and operation.
9. Regularly updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations.
10. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Mill & Lathe Programmer position must have:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficient knowledge of Mastercam software for programming CNC machines.
3. Extensive experience with CNC programming, specifically for mills and lathes.
4. Familiarity with G Code programming language.
5. Proven ability to produce precision parts and maintain quality control.
6. Proficiency in using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers.
7. Strong understanding of the manufacturing process and the ability to improve it.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
9. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
10. A commitment to safety and cleanliness in the workplace.
11. The ability to train and mentor less experienced team members.
