Mig & Tig Welder at Onin Staffing

Essential Duties and functions:

 Select, measure, cut, and join appropriate metals to specifications using MIG welding

techniques.

 Prepare metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.

 Finish metal projects by cutting, grinding, and polishing.

 Interpret specifications and blueprints accurately.

 Regularly clean and inspect welding equipment and tools.

 Operate hoists and other machinery to transport materials to welding worksites.

 Determine correct gas ratios.

 Inspect and test the strength of each join during and after project completion.

 Diagnose issues and troubleshooting as required.

 Liaise with the line manager or supervisor, reporting any issues, and making suggestions for

improvement.

 Ensure work area is safe and maintain a clean workspace

 Have excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity.

 Be able to lift at least 50 lbs. multiple times a day.

 Be able to pull, push, stoop, bend, squat, and stand for long periods of time

 Be able to use a hoist

 Wear appropriate PPE to include FRC, ARC helmet, gloves, steel toed shoes, hearing protection

• Experience in welding
• Experience in code welding 3G and 6G
• Experience in fabrication
