Job Description
This is a contract position for a middleware candidate to assist with design, architecture, performance analysis, and engineering of new solutions for Java and .Net platforms
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Transaction middleware platform with 7-10 years of experience of administrating and supporting MW products (WAS, MQ, Apache, tomcat, jboss, IIS) is required.
- Strong understanding of Shell or Bash scripts and use of common Unix/Linux utilities for parsing data like AWD, Sed, Perl and regular expressions.
- Experience in a Linux / UNIX / Windows distributed enterprise environment is required.
- Experience managing upgrading and patching other Middleware deployments is required.
- Knowledge managing .NET architecture would be a plus.
- Experience in using Puppet, Chef or other automation tool would be a plus.
- Experience managing Middleware related monitoring tools, including, New Relic, Wily and Patrol is highly desirable.
- Experience managing Middleware security, including participation in security based audits, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adding application certificates is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IT Enterprise architecture.
- Experience and knowledge of current trends within JAVA and .Net based technologies.
- Experience and knowledge of current trends within the Web Technology industry.
- Experience in the development and enabling PaaS capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary.
- Highly organized, structured, and process oriented.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to collaborate with internal and external business/technical teams.
