We are looking to fill the role of a Mid-level Project Engineer for our
Transportation practice located in our South Portland, ME office.
Pay: $81,000 - $106,000/year
TRANSPORTATION PROJECT ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects from
preliminary to final design.
- Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid
packages.
- Assist and guide design engineers in developing final design plans
(including but not limited to implementation and knowledge of
alignments, cross sections, traffic control, drainage, traffic
signals, signing, and pavement markings).
- Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff and
managers.
- Mentor, direct activities, and supervise work of other engineers.
- Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches,
cost, and scheduling.
- Participate in transportation related organizations such as ASCE,
ACEC, MBTA, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
TRANSPORTATION PROJECT ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
- EIT/EI registration required. PE registration preferred.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of engineering experience in transportation and roadway
design.
- Experience working with MaineDOT design projects required.
- Micro Station and Inroads/ORD design software experience required.
