Mid Level Mechanical Engineer - Intellisource

IntelliSource is searching for a mid-level Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in mechanical design and proficiency in SolidWorks. The successful candidate will join our partner's dynamic team in Midland, NC, and take a leading role in both mechanical design and research and development projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead innovative solutions that address sustainability and environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and design of mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks.
• Oversee the creation of detailed 3D models and technical drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality, serving as a key technical liaison.
• Drive research and development initiatives, designing solutions for complex issues encountered in our machines.
• Lead brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to improve existing products and develop new ones.
• Perform advanced simulations and analysis to validate design concepts and optimize performance.
• Manage prototyping, testing, and refining designs based on test results and feedback.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and user manuals.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and resolving design-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and technical drawing creation.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated experience with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to resolve complex engineering challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Experience in mentoring or supervising junior engineers is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a mechanical engineering role within the sustainability or environmental sector.
• Proven track record in leading research and development projects.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
