Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Architect to join our IT team and drive the design, implementation, and optimization of our Microsoft 365 environment. This role will be responsible for architecting secure, scalable, and innovative Microsoft 365 solutions to support our organizations collaboration, productivity, and digital transformation goals. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange, and security and compliance features.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Lead the design and architecture of Microsoft 365 solutions, ensuring they align with organizational goals and best practices in security, scalability, and user experience.
- Implementation & Configuration: Oversee the implementation of Microsoft 365 solutions, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange, and related tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Governance & Compliance: Establish governance policies and compliance frameworks for Microsoft 365 to safeguard data and meet regulatory requirements.
- Security & Risk Management: Define and implement security configurations for Microsoft 365, including multi-factor authentication, conditional access policies, and data loss prevention.
- Collaboration & Productivity Optimization: Identify and deploy solutions within Microsoft 365 to enhance user collaboration and productivity across the organization.
- Migration & Upgrades: Lead migrations from legacy systems to Microsoft 365 and manage upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business units to understand their requirements and translate them into scalable Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Documentation & Training: Develop documentation and training materials; deliver training sessions to ensure end-users and IT staff can fully utilize Microsoft 365 tools.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Microsoft 365 updates and industry trends; proactively recommend and implement improvements.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a masters degree or certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in designing and deploying Microsoft 365 solutions, with experience in enterprise environments.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, OneDrive, Power Platform, and Azure AD; strong understanding of security and compliance features within Microsoft 365.
- Project Management: Proven ability to lead complex projects, from planning to execution, involving cross-functional teams.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, user-centric solutions.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or similar Microsoft certifications.
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps) for automation and reporting.
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices, including Microsoft Security and Compliance Center.
