About the job
In this role, you will involve both metrology development and test manufacturing. You will require customization and innovation in test stations and methodologies, from highly specialized one-off measurements of single emitters to arrays of over one million, to high-speed/high data-rate measurements at scale. You will be responsible for the qualification, deployment and ongoing support of the microLED Display test solutions needed to support the microLED technology roadmap. Work closely with the teams to develop testing technologies for low and high volume manufacture.
Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve microLED display test capability for several form factors (including on-wafer, on-display and in-module) needed to support microLED technology roadmap.
- Perform root cause analysis of software and hardware failures occurring within the manufacturing test processes.
- Ensure manufacturing test platforms uptime and manage SPC of test procedure. Perform root cause analysis of display panel tests as needed.
- Work effectively with research and development, and device engineers to develop metrology technology for microLED display panel tests.
- Optimize the microdisplay test solutions to reduce cycle time and optimize test coverage, hardware cost, and system reliability.
