- JOB SUMMARY
- Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising the delivery of health care. Must be prepared to deal with evolving integrated health care delivery systems, technological innovations, an increasingly complex regulatory environment, restructuring of work, and more emphasis on preventive care.
- DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:
- Manages various practice areas with major focus on improving the business aspects of health care operations and the quality of the health care provided.
- Collaborates with administrative staff and physicians to optimize efficiency of a variety of related services ranging from inpatient care to outpatient follow-up care.
- Establishes and implements policies, objectives, and procedures for department. Reports on department results and outcomes.
- Participates in staff human resource planning and decisions, including hiring, training, supervision, and evaluating personnel and their work.
- Assist Practice Manager and/or Director in developing department budgets including recommendations for equipment outlays. Ensures appropriate reimbursement by staying abreast of billing, collections, and payer matters as well as Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
- Responsible for working with billing and coding department, and work ques.
- Coordinates activities with other managers, administrative staff, and physicians.
- EDUCATION/LICENSE/ CERTIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years business management experience
- Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in health administration or business administration

- This job operates in a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers.
- Occasionally requires travel to and from off-site locations
- The noise level in this position is usually low.

- Frequently required to move about throughout the Medical Center or while rounding.
