Summary:
Responsible for performing daily cleaning and supplying of offices and patient areas including cleaning walls lights windows vents floors carpets. Performs in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures. Follows the facility's standards for ethical business conduct. Conducts self as a positive role model and team member. Participates in facility committees meetings in-services and activities.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assembles cleaning supplies and equipment and cleans floors rooms and offices following established schedules and methods. Replaces disposables.
- Shampoos and vacuums carpets for cleaning and bacteria control removes spots from carpets.
- Assists in cleaning emergency spills as observed or requested. Sanitizes and sterilizes clinic areas.
- Washes ceilings walls floors lights windows fixtures mirrors counters office equipment and vents.
- Dry and wet mops floors in uncarpeted offices and rooms scrubs and buffs floor with rotary/automatic machines.
- Transports trash and soiled linen from collection points to designated area and distributes fresh linen.
- Moves furniture to clean. Dusts surfaces damp-wipes furniture and polishes metal and porcelain fixtures in bathrooms.
- Daily checks supplies and orders replacements.
- Maintains equipment in a clean and orderly manner restock supplies as needed.
- Identifies and reports any unsafe/unsanitary conditions to Supervisor.
- Meets with Housekeeping Team Leader on a regular basis to confer on special cleaning needs problems and work schedule.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Enhances professional growth and development though in-service meetings and education programs.
- Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of housekeeping functions and standards including safety and sanitation;
- Knowledge of cleaning methods materials tools and equipment
- Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures
- Knowledge of common safety hazards to identify potential safety problems.
- Skilled in operating housekeeping equipment and machines and cleaning clinic areas.
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning operations under indirect supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and patients and public.
Working Conditions:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk; stand; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. May be exposed to various patient conditions including infectious diseases blood and bodily fluids.
