The Role
This role will research, plan and implement state of the art metrologies, programs and protocols into the organization. They will execute and lead R&D efforts from project inception through development and validation on behalf of FFEM strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
• Collaborate with the Director of Quality to ensure there are appropriate resources to support ongoing and planned R&D projects.
• Plan, supervise and coordinate the metrology R&D efforts in accordance with the company’s strategy business plan.
• Ensure that the R&D team delivers on R&D commitments on time and to quality expectations.
• Report on a regular basis the status of R&D projects in terms of schedule and risk.
• Prepare justifications budgets for R&D projects.
• Provide technical and analytical support of existing products to internal and external customers.
• Development new or achieve incremental improvements of analytical methods and techniques.
• Evaluation of new chemistries.
• Employee training, coaching and mentoring.
REQUIREMENTS
• BS in Chemistry, or related degree and a minimum of 10 years professional lab experience; or a Master’s degree in Chemistry, or related degree, with a minimum of 5 years professional lab experience; or a Ph.D. in Chemistry, or related degree, with a minimum of 3 year professional lab experience
• Previous management experience in a lab setting required
• Strong statistical experience a highly desirable
• Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Candidate must be able to multi-task and handle change in priorities
• Professional communication skills within different functional groups
