About the Job
Responsibilities:

- Design and develop new measurement systems and processes
- Advise on metrology best practices
- Analyze process performance and propose improvements
- Resolve production issues
- Develop and manage measurement tooling and equipment
- Lead jigs & tools projects
- Manage and modify existing measurement equipment
- Oversee the quality of jigs & tools
- Participate in the development of new production concepts
- Conduct and manage various tests (acceptance, commissioning, etc.)
- Manage incoming tooling and support 3D measurements
- Handle complaints, document activities, and participate in supplier evaluation
Qualifications/Background Profile:

Education: Degree in Metrology or a related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated experience developing and managing measurement systems.

5 years of experience with measurement systems in a manufacturing environment.

Technical certifications preferred.

OSHA certifications preferred.

Data analysis and presentation skills – ability to technically explain tooling/equipment issues.

Strong organization skills – able to oversee many ongoing topics. Able to train others in these areas.

Knowledge of Metrology basics, autonomy in reading technical drawings, the geometric characteristics and their symbols i.p. datum and surface definitions.

Demonstrated knowledge in 3D and 6D measurement systems (e.g. Laser Tracker; 3D Scanner;…) and standard measurement software (e.g. Spatial Analyzer; Metrolog; PolyWorks;…).
