Metro Area Sales Representative - Tri-State Bobcat

Tri-State Bobcat, a premier leader in compact equipment, has an opening for an outside sales representative to join our growing sales team.
We are looking for someone to help promote, build, and sell Tri State Bobcat's bundle of compact and outdoor power equipment through directly selling to end customers. This role will be responsible for generating new business, cultivating relationships with existing customers, and promoting Tri-State Bobcat's product line in the field. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about sales, has a strong understanding of the construction and heavy equipment industry, and excels at building long-term customer relationships. This is a full-time position, with hours Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 5 pm, and great pay - $50,000-75,000, plus commission.
Essential Functions:
- Contact prospective customers to determine customer needs, present product information, and explain available services.
- Coordinate and/or conduct field demonstrations as well as operate machinery at customer location.
- Present equipment, finance options, complete all required sales documentation, sales proposals, including Purchase Agreements, Customer Sales Agreements and finance contracts.
- Use company provided systems/tools to fully document, track, record, follow-up and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in all company-sponsored training programs.
- Collaborate with sales manager, marketing, to identify interested and qualified customers.
- Acquire knowledge of Tri State Bobcat equipment offerings and competitive products in order to offer the best solutions based on customer needs, interests and concerns. Follow up on each sale to ensure customer satisfaction and create long-term relationships to drive repeat business.
- Builds and maintains active prospect list.
- Coordinate with customers and applicable departments ensuring timely delivery of product.
- Coordinate pickup and delivery of equipment as needed.
- Willingness to represent Tri-State Bobcat at trade shows.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years outside sales or related experience preferred
- Personal characteristics: Strong customer service and communication skills, achievement oriented, planning/organization skills, problem solving, team player
- Demonstrates strong work ethic and acts with a sense of urgency
- Strong computer knowledge and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license required
