We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Metals Manufacturing Quality / EHS Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our ongoing success. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of product quality, and environmental health and safety (EHS), within our metals manufacturing processes. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, a strong commitment to safety, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance program to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
2. Oversee and manage all EHS initiatives, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
3. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
4. Implement corrective actions to address any identified issues, and monitor their effectiveness.
5. Lead and mentor a team of quality assurance and EHS professionals, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
6. Coordinate with other departments to integrate quality and EHS considerations into all aspects of the manufacturing process.
7. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees about quality and EHS standards and best practices.
8. Collaborate with senior management to set quality and EHS goals and develop strategic plans to achieve them.
9. Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, and adjust our quality and EHS programs as necessary.
10. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on quality and EHS performance.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality role in the metals manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of metal properties, fabrication processes, and quality assurance techniques.
4. In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
5. Proven ability to develop and implement effective quality and EHS programs.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Proficiency in using quality and EHS management software.
10. Relevant professional certifications (such as Certified Safety Professional or Certified Quality Engineer) are a plus.
